Glendale, CA, Oct. 05, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Los Angeles singer-songwriter and producer Chase Bell and internationally acclaimed South African artist LIRA will come together for the “Do Me” Live Experience on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 333 E Colorado Street in Glendale, California. Presented by Inner Circle Events and sponsored by Music Industry Community (MIC), the event will bring together live music, entrepreneurship, networking, and creative collaboration in an evening designed to connect independent artists and industry professionals.
Doors open at 5 p.m., with programming running from 6 to 11 p.m. The evening will feature a red carpet at 6 p.m., followed by performances by Chase Bell, LIRA, and special guests.

MIC Brings Music Industry Resources Into One Platform
The event also marks a live expression of MIC’s broader mission to address one of the persistent challenges facing independent artists: access to the infrastructure, relationships and resources needed to build sustainable careers.
An extension of West Village Entertainment, co-founded by Christy DiNapoli and led by executive team members Ashley Holt and Brian Haunhorst.MIC brings networking, collaboration tools, booking resources, streaming insights, and audience tracking into one ecosystem for artists, musicians, producers, creators, and industry professionals. The platform is designed to help users connect within their communities and genres while also creating opportunities to interact with venues, professionals, and fans.
MIC also incorporates artificial intelligence into its platform, using predictive intelligence to analyze streaming and sales data and help artists make more informed decisions around touring, promotion, and audience development. Rather than generating music, the technology focuses on the business and operational side of an artist’s career.
“This isn’t just another social platform,” the MIC team has said of the platform’s launch. “MIC was built specifically for the music community, combining the tools artists and industry professionals need all in one platform.”
Christy DiNapoli Brings Decades of Music Industry Experience
DiNapoli brings more than 35 years of experience in the music industry as an artist manager, music publisher and record producer, with work involving companies including Warner Bros. and Big Machine Records. He is a three-time Grammy nominee, a CMA Producer of the Year, and recipient of 22 BMI, ASCAP, and SESAC awards. He has also served on the board of the Academy of Country Music and Orchestra Nashville.
“Our approach with MIC is to lead with purpose and build with people,” DiNapoli said. “When you truly understand the people you serve and identify with their mission, you can create opportunities for them to be seen, heard, connected, and supported. Collaboration takes you further than competition, and by combining platforms, resources, and relationships, we can create a bigger impact for the entire music community.”
MIC LIVE Expands the Platform Into In-Person Events
The Glendale event is part of MIC’s expansion into live programming through MIC LIVE, an in-person event series focused on community, education, networking, and industry access. The initiative is expected to expand into additional markets, including Los Angeles and New York.
Chase Bell and LIRA Bring “Do Me” to the Glendale Stage
At the center of the October 9 event is Bell’s 2026 collaboration with LIRA, “Do Me.” A Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and producer, Bell works across Pop, R&B, and AfroPop. His career has included performing in blues and jazz bands, living and performing across Europe and Africa, working as a session singer and producer alongside Grammy-winning producers, and developing music for film and television.
LIRA, born Lerato Moipone Molapo in Daveyton, South Africa, is a multi-platinum artist and 11-time South African Music Award winner known for blending soul, funk, jazz and African music. Her career has included performances at the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony in South Africa alongside Alicia Keys, Shakira and John Legend, as well as President Barack Obama’s 2013 inaugural ball.
LIRA Returns to the Stage After a Journey of Recovery
In 2022, LIRA suffered a stroke while traveling in Germany and was subsequently diagnosed with aphasia. After a period of intensive speech therapy and rehabilitation, she gradually returned to performing, including appearances at Starlight Classics, Constitution Hill and the DSTV Delicious Festival.
An Evening Built Around Music, Networking, and Collaboration
The “Do Me” Live Experience will bring these two artists together in an event that reflects the increasingly international nature of independent music and creative collaboration. Alongside the performances, attendees will have opportunities for networking, brand activations, food and vendor experiences, media engagement, and connections across the music, business, and creative communities.
